monkey d. luffy Captain. Having cleared up their only point of contention two years ago, Luffy and Usopp are almost disgustingly close. Luffy may be first and foremost his captain, but after that he's his best friend. He can always go to Luffy to frolic, to tell stories, to tease, to laugh, to prank and generally make horrible, immature nuisances of themselves. Being around Luffy is pretty much like being by himself. Underlying all that, however, is trust. Yeah, Luffy can be unpredictable, and yeah, he can definitely be an idiot, but Usopp has and will continue to trust him with his life. In return, Usopp will unfailingly jump into battle where Luffy's concerned no matter what, even if he's terrified most of the time. ♥♥♥♥♥ ☠ ONE PIECE • 400million

franky Shipwright To those who know Franky and Usopp's history, one might think that their relationship must be complicated - after all, their relationship did start off with Franky and his goons beating Usopp up into a pulp after taking his money. Happily, to everyone involved, it's pretty simple. Franky was a Bad Guy but then he helped them out and is now a Good Guy, no more questions asked. Usopp adores Franky like a cool older brother and will forever be in awe of his technical abilities and not least of all, his robotic body. They both harbor a love for tinkering around, so Usopp loves hanging out with him and learning the practical, such as how to properly take care of Sunny, to the decidedly impractical. Just as with every other crewmate, Usopp is excessively fond of Franky and will remain that way. ♥♥♥♥♥ ☠ ONE PIECE • supahighbeams

portgas d. ace Usopp had only known Ace as Luffy's cool older brother for a short time until he grew to know him as Luffy's cool deceased older brother after he was executed by the World Government. At first, Usopp was more than a little intimidated by his presence. His reputation as Gol D. Roger's son, right hand man of the Whitebeard Pirates and an incredibly strong pirate definitely preceded him. Happily, Usopp got over that fairly quickly once Ace started living with the Strawhats on the Sunny. He's grown to learn that even if he is unfailingly polite and most definitely powerful, Ace is also a pretty fun guy to have around. They've hung out a few times already, and Usopp's become a lot more comfortable with him. The shadow of his death still hangs over Usopp's thoughts of Ace, and he now knows that Ace is certainly unhappy with his status as Roger's son, but the associations are mainly positive. ♥♥♥♥ ONE PIECE • hiken_ace

katsura kotarou Katsura's weird. Katsura is really weird. Most of the time, Usopp thinks that the man might as well be living on a different planet than them for all the sense their interactions make. Still, Usopp finds that he's quite fond of the man, though he can't quite place his finger on why. Katsura is always good for a laugh, and it's almost endearing how positively earnest he is. It was recently made public that Katsura is a terrorist - something that Katsura didn't deny - and Usopp's really curious about what that entailed and if there's anything serious behind all that idiocy. Funnily enough, it's because of the aforesaid weirdness that Usopp finds himself so attached to Katsura. His attitude and habits really wouldn't be out of place on One Piece's world, after all. rose lalonde Rose is very, very interesting. When Usopp first got onto the Thor, Rose was the first person to inject the idea that the aliens on the ship were lying about their worlds being destroyed into his mind. Of course, she went right back on that and became abrasive very quickly. Usopp accepted this as one of her foibles, because nobody that helpful could really be mean, right? He soon found this to be the case as he persisted speaking with her. She's young but wickedly smart, and Usopp's inordinately fond of her. He's not entirely certain she thinks much of him, but talking to her is too much fun for him to care overly much. ♥♥♥ HOMESTUCK • lovecrafting

fox mccloud Fox is a fox. This may appear too obvious to be commented on, but in Usopp's book, it's pretty damn cool. Fox is a fox who can talk. So far they've only really spoken much over the Guide, but he's enjoyed the few times that they have. There's been some good natured teasing most of the time, but the new information that Fox is apparently a weapons expert was definitely cause enough to seriously pique Usopp's curiosity. At the present, he's fascinated by Fox's proficiency with weaponry and why that may be and is definitely interested in hanging out with him more. ♥♥♥ STAR FOX • all_range_mode

madarame ikkaku Usopp first met Ikkaku when the entirety of the Thor was confronted with the black hole and with it, the prospect of fairly certain death. Ikkaku proceeded to act as if he didn't give a single fuck about the fact and contented himself with drinking in the Sunny instead, which Usopp considered to be very stupid, but also very cool. The two usually go hand in hand. Sparring with him only cemented this idea because Ikkaku is a great fighter and uses a sword, and... well, swords are cool. This coolness was then immediately dispelled when Ikkaku turned into a girl on a dare, and the sliding scale between cool and stupid began moving quite rapidly into 'stupid' territory. Nevertheless, Usopp thinks Ikkaku's a lot of fun to chat with and gets along with him pretty well. ♥♥♥ BLEACH • malasuerte

jade harley Usopp only met Jade the once, and doesn't have too many thoughts on her beyond the fact that he'll definitely say hello the next time he sees her around. She was shooting foam darts at strangers (one of them being him) when they met, and Usopp happily played along. She's tiny and cute and very playful, all things that Usopp gets along with. He likes kids a whole lot and always welcomes someone else willing to clown around on the Thor. ♥♥♥ HOMESTUCK • gnostically

maito gai Gai is another figure that Usopp has only met once, but that one time made quite an impression. Gai thinks it's a good idea to walk around the ship on his hands with bright orange legwarmers and a green jumpsuit. Gai also thinks being youthful is an amazing thing. Gai also has an Eternal Rival. Usopp thinks Gai is hilarious. ♥♥♥ NARUTO • might

sagaru yamazaki Yamazaki seems perpetually anxious and excitable. This doesn't seem too far from the truth, and normally Usopp is pretty amenable to these traits in others, particularly seeing as he shares those traits. Unfortunately, Usopp's perceptions of Yamazaki have been somewhat tarnished by two facts: the fact that he seems to know the Strawhats despite not being from their world and the fact that he a member of an active police force. He's a pretty weird guy. Usopp wouldn't mind getting to know him more since he doesn't seem too dangerous or anything, but he's not about to go out there and do it himself. ♥♥ GINTAMA • iliketohitit

amaterasu Usopp knows Amaterasu as a nice lady with dog ears who happens to have a bunch of kids and is keen to help others out. Plus, she can sew, which is pretty useful. He doesn't really have any thoughts on her beyond that. ♥♥ OKAMI • motherofthesun

suì-fēng Suì-Fēng is, as far as Usopp's concerned, a jerk. She's snappish to everyone she meets, quarrels with ponies (and honestly, who does that?) and seems disposed to dislike absolutely everybody on sight. He doesn't see any reason why anybody would want to get close to her at all, and is kind of curious as to who shoved that giant pointy stick up her ass. He'll probably keep poking at her anyway, though, mostly because he thinks her over the top reactions are almost more funny than they are mean-spirited. ♥ BLEACH • supersedure
